Existing policies need to be examined to make sure we are addressing the current needs of all of our communities. We need to eliminate the inherent redundancies in Governmental offices that have been siloed and not communicating with one another. | |||
Corporate taxes should be decreased a bit, but the real problem is the picking of winners and losers through state tax incentives. Small businesses should have more access to state incentives, while large million- and billion-dollar corporations -which, frankly, don't need them - should have less access. |

Small business toolkit: An expansion of the Secretary's existing program, administered through our state libraries. Making it easier for local entrepreneurs to enter the marketplace with locally produced goods and services. A Scituate Reservoir stewardship program: Leveraging existing educational workshops to give residents of the watershed the opportunity to be stewards of this amazing resource. Government accountability and transparency: Implementing fair and commonsense legislative rules and holding all elected officials to the same standard of ethics. None of my priorities require additional funding, but they do require better allocation of existing resources. |
